My son is five and this bike is perfect for him. Very easy to put together and adjust accordingly, comes with the necessary tools to do so and is light weight. He loves it!

This bike was super easy to assemble and I am surprised at how well made it actually is. The components that make up the base of the bike are very lightweight but very strong. The tires seem to be very good tires, and everything on the bike works perfectly. I really like how the seat and handlebars can be adjusted to accommodate a wide age and size range. These bikes are so good for helping build strong leg muscles for them, but it also helps them to learn to balance better until they are ready to ride a pedal bicycle. This really is a good little bike.

Just skip training wheels altogether, same as coaster breaks, those just create bad habits. There are several brands offering balance bikes for little kids, but one that goes up to age 8 is rare. So if you and your kid got late on the bike train, this is a good option or if your kid got too into the balance bikes that gets distracted with pedals, then this is a good option too.
